I won't even use digital calipers from other manufacturers. They are so impeccably made and work so well that everything else is rubbish by comparison. Jaws don't wear out as quickly as cheap brands and never lose their place. This is the perfect digital caliper and well worth the money. Let's just say - I studied at a watchmaking school in the USA. The only digital calipers used there were these series from Mitutoyo. I also use them all the time as a machinist. You pay for yourself. Don't worry about anything else, the rest is scrap that will wear out the jaws prematurely.
