There are 10 connectors in total, 5 male and 5 female. Very good connectors, you can disassemble all the components including the small rubber grommet that seals the wire jacket inside the connector. 8AWG fits, but it makes things too narrow for the parts that fit in the cap that screws onto the connector. Stick with 10 or 12 AWG and you'll be fine. I've used some of these on some solar panels in my caravan and they seem to be working fine. I can't say if they will last for years but I see no reason why not. At this price this is a good choice if you need to make some solar panel connection cables.
