Review on 🔊 Monster Boomerang Neckband Bluetooth Speaker: 12H Playtime, True 3D Stereo Sound - Portable & IPX7 Waterproof by Klassic Duncan

Monster Boomerang looks like a premium product at first glance. It has nice packaging, the build quality is good. It is flexible and comfortable to wear. However, it has one fatal flaw that makes this speaker completely unsuitable for music. And it's a shame because he has so many other things. The big downside is that the sound has a limiter that kicks in automatically when the song contains bass, e.g. B. a drum kick. For example, in rap, the vocals are loud until the beats and bass hit, and then the vocals die off. So if you turn it on to hear the vocals more clearly, whenever the bass and beats die down in a song, you'll be amazed by the vocals at a much higher volume. Every time the kick kicks in, hit the mids and highs, LOTS. I came across this automatic volume limiter in audio programs and am very familiar with what it was designed for. However, it's implemented so poorly on Boomerang that it completely changes the sound of the song, oscillating up and down in volume, which is completely at odds with how the song was supposed to sound. Look, I like everything else about it. I also have a cheap Lanniu neck speaker and it lacks bass at all compared to the Monster and often sounds tinny and distorted. Monster was supposed to sound better, and it would have if it wasn't for the terrible sound processing. However, I don't like it at all when the volume of my music fluctuates so much whenever there is bass. It spoils the whole experience of listening to music. You can use this for podcasts, but if that's all save your money and buy the cheaper option. I feel much more comfortable using a cheaper neckband speaker for music because it doesn't disrupt the rhythm and mood of my music. In any song that has a beat, you'll find that the mids and highs drop STRONGLY for each drum and then come back up. It pisses me off how badly this thing ruins the sound. If anyone is interested I can record a video demonstrating this effect on the Monster Boomerang and compare it to other speakers and link the original audio so you can actually tell the differences. Trust me this is a VERY aggressive limiter and it's an absolute shame, a huge oversight in a product designed for listening to music. I do not recommend it to anyone if they want to use it for music. sorry monsters This is a failure. Maybe this can be fixed with a firmware update. But one star for now.
