It has only been a month since I received my refurbished Xbox unit and I haven't noticed any lag, overheating or video issues. The unit came complete with all the necessary documentation, boxed like new. There were no dents, scuffs or scratches. The main system is heavy and while it can be stood up I don't recommend it as a pet or child could easily knock it over. Setup was quick and easy, and I didn't even check the paperwork. I haven't decided (yet!) whether to buy a wired or wireless internet adapter. I just turn off my computer, unplug the ethernet cable between the computer tower and the wireless modem, plug the Xbox ethernet cable into the modem, and reboot. Yes, it's a bit annoying, but I only go online once a week to buy games since I'm not into MMPGs (Massively Multiplayer Games). The device starts up and shuts down quickly with quick navigation. The controllers aren't as comfortable for me as the Nintendo's and I hold the controller loosely sideways and at about a 30 degree angle in my right hand. This tilt does not affect gameplay or navigation in any way. With the wireless controllers, I can sit back fifteen, reposition myself, and play for hours without getting tired. My only caveat is that the controllers can be too fast and I haven't found a way to tweak this feature - it's like adjusting the speed of a computer mouse. A worthwhile and affordable system right now with hundreds of games available for every member of the family. Oh and I chose the save shipping option which takes about 5-9 days and the system arrived within a week.
