The microphone is designed to be held in front of your mouth, but when you do so it will blow and distort your speech regardless of the computer and/or games microphone settings . Because of this distortion, there is no point in using it as intended. I leave the mic upright so it doesn't drown out speech, but teammates still complain about the sound quality. I knew I was in trouble when the product packaging was a plastic bag. Don't buy it if you're a gamer, your teammates will constantly complain about your sound.
