They are quite small. If you are used to using the bandana style (red, black, paisley blue) they will seem too small for you. It's a very thin material that doesn't seem strong enough to withstand my husband's "signal." Plus, after washing, they're a crumpled disaster when they come out of the dryer. We use them as a last resort but I wouldn't buy them knowing this and won't buy them again. The only real plus is that they are beautiful.
