They do NOT have an aluminum core. Still very nice.
The product description says "18/10 stainless steel inside and out with an aluminum core for superior thermal conductivity." When I read that I thought I was getting a 3-ply material. However, they arrived today and are made from solid 18/10 stainless steel made in China. Revain needs to update the product description and I have made them aware of the issue. Nevertheless, they are of very good quality, heavy and solid. They are perfect for french onion soup. I feel much better with stainless steel under the grill. Refractory ceramics do not always withstand this type of heat well.
