Review on 📶 Wireless Convenience: Logitech Cordless Internet Handset for Seamless Connectivity by Elizabeth Moore

I've had my Logitech Wireless Internet Phone for about 2 weeks now and I'm completely satisfied. If you are planning to buy it, you should know that Logitech has discontinued this product. As already mentioned, the battery performance leaves a lot to be desired. In order to use the full potential of NI-MH rechargeable batteries, I had to use an external charger. Luckily I have one as I use NI-MH batteries in all my remotes and many others. The charger in the holder doesn't seem up to date so I only had about 20 minutes with this battery and they died even leaving the phone in the holder for 16+ hours. By removing the batteries from the phone and using an external charger, I got WAY closer to the advertised 120 hours of standby time or 10 hours of talk time on a single charge. It doesn't bother me, but it may require more maintenance than others are looking for and I think this may have been the reason, if not the reason, why Logitech discontinued the product. I found the installation easy. Install the drivers BEFORE connecting the USB cable as you would any other USB device. When working with XP Pro (full patch Jan 2010) I had no problems. Don't forget to check your sound settings as shown in the guide, they should set themselves up automatically, but it doesn't hurt to check and there is a very helpful section in the guide on this subject. This is due to early customer reports that you cannot play sounds on PC while using your phone. This is not the case and I suspect that this section of the guide was only added to fix the automatic configuration error. It didn't disappoint. I bought this phone for Skype so I only use it for that. One thing I found a bit confusing is that the phone has a separate call log from Skype. It's ok, just not what I expected. I just don't use the ones on the phone and add all the numbers to my Skype contacts that the phone accesses just fine. The call quality is excellent and surpasses the call quality of my mobile phone. The phone's physical profile is perfect for me. I can use Skype without being tied to my PC, which was the main reason for the purchase. Remember, there is NO emergency call! You can't give up the camera just yet. Enough with your babble, I hope this helps you.
