I bought a black Mission belt in a men's clothing store a few years ago, very nice belt. I give him 5 stars. I wanted a brown belt so I bought this Mission belt three years ago. At first it seemed as good as black, but then the material on the inner layer tore along the entire length (see photo). They claim it's 100% leather but I've never seen leather tear like that. If it's leather, it's very cheap leather. Around the same time, the ratchet holding the strap started slipping, and now it slips easily when I sit down or lean forward. I often have to stretch. The ratchet on my first belt still works great. So what happened? When I finally bought this belt, the company boasted that they donated $1 of my purchase to charity. I love being charitable. But I had no idea which charity they donated to. There are charities I donate to, but there are charities I don't want to donate to. At the very least, they should give the buyer multiple choices as to which charity to donate to. But really, they should drop the price of the belt by a dollar and allow me to donate to a charity of my choice.
