This vacuum has enough suction to clean up most small spills or messes that don't require a wet towel or wipe. With a transparent compartment that holds dirt, leaves and crumbs, it's easy to see if it's getting full or needs cleaning without having to guess how full the vacuum is or if the air filter needs cleaning. The suction power isn't as powerful as my shop vacuum, but for the most part, a small mess doesn't require a powerful vacuum, and this cordless handheld vacuum is more powerful than the old 12V plug-in vacuums I remember buying years ago used in my cars. Motor technology has greatly improved, and lithium batteries have become cheaper, making wireless devices convenient and convenient.
