I don't know what the bad reviews about these controllers mean. I've read reviews that say they seem cheap. This controller seems so close to the original that it's hard to tell. My old gamepads are so hand worn they are shiny and smooth with texture. Since my originals are over 10 years old and worn out, these controllers actually feel better. They are strong and heavy. The plastic feels high quality. The fit and finish is tight and everything fits together just right. Then there are reviews that speak of bad buttons and bad analog sticks. My controller that I received has no such issues. It was so nice to be able to fly around the dashboard again without the bad inputs of the shoddy old controllers. Then I played Super Meat Boy to really test the controller. Next up is Dirt 3. Input is smooth and precise. Then all the complaints about the missing connection. I'm pretty sure these people don't understand how they work. Pressing the sync button on the 360 and controller results in an almost instant connection. No crashes or problems. Works as it should. Some have also complained about not being able to connect Bluetooth to their PC. These are NOT BLUETOOTH CONTROLLERS. As with the original Xbox 360 controller, you need a wireless game adapter to work on your PC. I received one and did the final test. I connected the Microsoft Windows wireless adapter to my Manjaro Linux laptop and then pressed sync on the adapter and the controller. I already had an Xbox Bluetooth controller connected as the first controller and the new controller was correctly paired and set up as controller 2. I then unplugged controller 1 and synced again, and the new controller became controller number one. Worked flawlessly to play Re-Volt and some Need for Speed games and then some emulators. I already have good PC controllers and just bought them for my grandson to play Plants Vs Zombies. I only use 360 for video streaming and my old broken controllers were good enough for that. But after reading these reviews I had to go through it myself. As I suspected. This is a great controller. BEAUTIFUL. As 6 and 8 year olds will be hitting the road regularly I'll report and update if the controllers somehow fail. If you don't see an update after a month or two, that means they haven't broken. First impression, I doubt they will break.
