I have had fuel delivery problems on an 83 Chevy K20 6.2 liter diesel. I have tracked down a problem with the fuel cut off solenoid valve. So I ordered two of these replacement solenoids, one for installation and one for replacement. Because of the price and shipping from China, I didn't really believe in the durability. I received them in a reasonable time and well packaged. Before installing them, I test them on the stand. And both failed the continuity test. So I contacted Revain and they sent me two replacement units the same day. I received them in a few days and they both passed the dyno test. I installed one in the injection pump and was on my way again. If this solenoid fails, you usually don't get a warning. One moment you're driving and the next you're waiting at the side of the road for a tow truck. The price for them is much lower than what you will pay for a tow truck. My suggestion is to buy two of these for dyno testing and put a spare in the glove box. That way, if one of the pump injectors fails, you can take your homeowner's tool kit and replace the bad with the roadside good. The worst that will happen is that you will smell like diesel fuel. But the money you would have spent on a tow truck stays in your pocket. Yes, I know the first two were rubbish. I had them appraised at a hardware store and they quoted me a price of $171 plus tax. I was told the box was assembled in the USA. One can only guess where the details come from. So this is my experience with these solenoids. And everything to do with cars. They pay money and take risks.
