When I bought my camping stove I had no idea that there are different types of camping stove and kitchen stove. I just assumed they were all the same and I was definitely wrong. I didn't want to return my Dutch Oven because our hike was so close, but I needed a way to properly prepare my desserts. A cast-iron stand comes to the rescue. I was able to put my coals on the bottom and the grate on the coals and then place my grill on the grate so I have a nice flat cooking surface. I know most people want to use their coasters. for keeping pans and pots hot after the food is ready, and it's great for that too. I used it this way for my dishes. But if you made the mistake I made with your Dutch Oven, I definitely recommend getting one so you don't have to buy another Dutch Oven. Wonderful product, well made and very durable.
