Very pleasant surprise

Update 1/6/2021. I forgot I was looking at that line and since I stumbled across this I thought I should add an update. I still enjoy using The Cutting Edge. The size is perfect for me at home and in quilting groups. My only issue, as I mentioned, is that with a sharpening strip, your cut will be wider than you measure. I tend to undercut a little, which compensates me well. It's just something to know. I saw an article online about this line and was curious enough to try it. I was pleasantly surprised to see how well this line works. Overall I really like the product and will probably order the 6.5 x 24 inch version. The marks are easy to read, but not so big that they obscure what you're trying to cut. There's just a hint of frost on the ruler, which really helps with highlights and contrasts. I've actually noticed a difference in the sharpness of my spinning blades. I purposely started with a VERY dull blade with a spur on the blade (wouldn't recommend anyone trying this!) to test the product. After about 3 days of use I would swear the blade was new; Even the spur was flattened. NOTE: The only thing I would warn about is that the strip used to sharpen the blade will slightly skew the width measurement. The ruler itself is a standard 6.5 inch ruler with a thin strip of metal added to the side of the ruler. You need to balance an extra amount of maybe 16 inches. This wasn't a problem for my paper staple project, but may be for standard staples.
