Review on High-performance 180W AC110/220V to DC 18V 10A Switching Power Supply Transformer for Industrial Automation, Electronic Equipment, and Communications by Scott Reeves

Asus 180W power supply for ROG G76V laptop died from daily use. I thought this 18V 10A might be a good fit as it's voltage regulated and will go to 19V with no problem. There's no fan so it's quiet. It doesn't heat up, I leave the laptop on most of the time. I cut off the end of a spare PC power cord to use on 110V. It may not have been necessary, but I replaced the thermal paste with SCR. If this item becomes available I will definitely purchase another one. I tried the same with a 24V 10A power supply (it can drop the voltage to 19.5V, which also works), but the fan noise is too loud.
