I bought a truck/car cup holder with a 1" rubber coated ball that is compatible with all dual socketed 1" composite balls. From another seller I bought RAM 6 inch long double connector for 1 ball base RAM-B-201U-C and RAM Mount X-Grip Phone Cradle B-Ball 1 inch (black) TXL-RAM-HOL-UN7B and all together I kept my iPhone X in the cup holder in a 2016 Volvo tractor. The 1 inch bullet broke loose and the phone and the rest of the phone holder fell to the ground. Luckily the phone is fine. If you look closely, the shaft is hollow plastic. It can work well in a car with a shorter twin bushing arm to have less vibration. I am currently using a RAP-B-299-4U RAM cup holder RAP-B-299-4U with the same mount and phone mount and haven't had any issues for about a month.
