Review on 🌀 NZXT Kraken X62 280mm - CAM-Powered AIO Liquid Cooler with Infinity Mirror Design and Aer P140mm Radiator Fans by Jonah Koehnke

PC manufacturers know how easy it is to fall into a hole by rationalizing to spend "a little more" on new components. I ended up buying the X62 as part of a brand new build that started with the simple intention of upgrading to the R5 3600 and ended up costing over $2000. My first plan was to just get an M22 as I had no plans to overclock my CPU and all I really wanted was an infinity mirror/braided cable look. But when things got out of hand I figured the X62 was what I really needed. In the end, I'm glad I overdid it a little and spent a lot more on the cooling than I needed to. I really like the looks, and AMD's new 3000-series processors are actually better with a bit more thermal headroom. CAM software is still about as bad as rumors suggest. The amount of data to access is ridiculous, but you can avoid most of it by simply not logging in with an account. Overall temperature and noise levels are impressively low considering an air-cooled machine. Installation can seem a little confusing or intimidating, especially when replacing a stock Intel bracket and stock NZXT fans, but after the typically frustrating first hour or two, you read the manual again, watch Youtube videos, and finally get it how it all works together, which seems pretty simple once you understand how it's done. The new Kraken AIO series with customizable LCD screen is quite enticing, but honestly I can't think of anything I'd rather see than the sleek, intriguing looks of the original Kraken.
