I would prefer the included screws to have the same thread pitch as the standard screws. The screw that came with the kit was unthreaded, so you have two options: buy some washers to fill the gap, or go to a hardware or fasteners store and buy new screws with the the same thread pitch and the same diameter and the same length. or a little shorter. The handlebar took a little effort to fit into my 2018 road top brace bar. I also had to cut off the top mount screw to save space.
