It's so nice to buy something that meets and exceeds expectations. I ordered these because the closures I was using (aluminum with a rubber seal) did not fit tightly enough on each bottle to prevent loss of fizz or, in the case of wine, freshness. These soft silicone tips are tapered so you get a custom fit every time. Just twist them until they stop falling into the bottle. To remove, turn the stopper in the opposite direction. At first I tried just squeezing it into the bottle, but twisting the cork is the easiest and most effective method. Absolutely the best way to seal an open bottle of any size.
