I placed this device on the second floor of a 3-story building. I can tell the difference for the whole building. I am very surprised at how small and quiet this device is and the effect it has. My daughter and I can breathe easy when we wake up in the morning. If you turn the cleaning setting too high it contains a "pool" smell as my kids described, as soon as I turn it off the smells go away so this must be user error.
