Review on Clairol Touch Up Coloring Precision Applicator by Mary Jones

Clairol Root Touch-Up is a good product and I've been using it since it came out. This review is not about the product, it is about the seller. I have never been disappointed with this product in the past. Apparently this Root Touch up double box must have been on the shelves for a long time. I bought it on 06/26/2021 / delivered on 06/29/2021. When I started mixing today (July 24th), I noticed that the cream color tube was too dark. The color is almost black. I use 4R color and I know cream color is always copper. (Step 2). This box came in a 2 pack at a significantly reduced price than you would find at your local drug or department store. I checked the tube to make sure it was 4R and marked as such. I wish hair dye companies would put expiration/use by dates on their products. They don't even have a link to their websites anymore to check hair dye lot codes. Because of this, retailers can sell obsolete products without consumers knowing. Unless of course you open the product and realize it is NOT good. I have had similar experiences with some of the products supplied/sold by Revain. Mostly cosmetics.
