FloodStop Interlock shuts off water instantly and requires no monthly fee

I purchased a FloodStop automatic water heater shutoff valve, FS3/4NPT, V4 control, water damage prevention two years ago for $125. I installed it where the water pipes enter the house, right after the meter and before the water pipes. I bought additional sensors to protect the water heater, washing machine, dishwasher, refrigerator and sink in the basement. A larger leak elsewhere in the house will eventually drain into the basement. Maybe one day I'll install sensors near every toilet. It is now very easy to press the button to turn off the water when we are away for a long time. The sensors are very sensitive. A drop of water and the plug shuts off the water throughout the house. You need to find and fix the problem, dry the sensor and turn the water back on. Assuming you have a custom barrier at the breach, you can turn the water back on for the rest of the house. I installed a flood protection bypass with a normally closed valve if you need to turn the water back on and don't want to go through the somewhat complicated valve procedure to manually turn the water back on before the sensor dries or if the valve doesn't work. do not close. A neighbor saw this and thought it would be a good idea for his Florida winter home. Instead, he looks at the "smart Wi-Fi" leak sensor. I prefer the flood stop. The plug shuts off the water instantly and requires no monthly subscription fee. Wi-Fi Smart Sensor notifies your phone. You have to react to turn off the water. Water will continue to leak until you do this. I prefer instant turn off flood protection and no subscription fee.
