Ideal for mobile phones. The magnet is very strong and you should use a heavy plate on the phone case. I bought it to use with an iPad mini which is much larger than a regular phone. While it worked well with the iPad mini, it was too heavy and wanted to fall over if I touched even one corner. But the product works as advertised and is a very good buy.
