This item was purchased with the intention of correcting a previous problem with the heating element. I bought the first one and it worked for about two weeks and then returned it for an exchange. I got a replacement and immediately saw bent wire connections up to the predetermined breaking point. It must have happened during shipping as there was no foam or protective layer for these delicate parts. I exchanged it anyway because I was tired of drying my clothes in the sun and the exchange only worked until the return period of about 4 weeks. There should be a decent spare. Note. I also cleaned the air ducts and the inside of the dryer before replacing parts.
