Review on 3M Adjustable Monitor Stand Riser: Adjustable Height, Sturdy Platform for Monitors, Laptops, and Printers - Space-saving Silver/Black Design (MS80B) by Shannon Taylor

The design of this product sucks. Four height options are provided by detachable leg sections that attach to the base. If like me you need a minimum height of 1 inch you should ditch the leg segments and just use the base. The base is inherently unstable unless you insert a black end piece into each slot. Problem? This item CANNOT be removed from the base once installed as it slides right into the groove and there is no way to remove it, permanently losing the user's use of other segments of the leg and no longer having access to a higher adjustment Parameter. What's the point of limiting your customers' choices in this way? They had to contain a lever or something similar so that the black part could be removed if necessary. There's no room for it on my desk, so I'd have to move the monitor back and stand at an uncomfortable height. All in all a really terrible design and quite overpriced. Disappointed.
