I have found these night vision goggles to be very useful, especially in the dark or low light conditions. I would say this product really shines in the dark or LL. In daylight, the image on the screen is normal, but in direct sunlight it's difficult to see anything from afar, but everything is fine up close (the object you're looking at, not the screen itself). Even if you have cloud cover, this is not a problem; really just strong sunlight directly on the object you want to see. In terms of range I would say the real benefit is around 300 metres, but you can see further just with less visibility and confidence. I use them for hunting, so I don't want to shoot any longer anyway, especially if I'm unsure of the field or species. Within 300 meters this product works great in the dark and I love the button layout for digital zoom, image/video capture, IR power etc. The image/screen resolution is crisp and clear but not too bright to be intimidating. Aside from hunting, these things can be used for almost anything you want. If you're a nosy neighbor or just want to see something in the dark, they come in handy. Transferring photos or videos from your device is easy and hassle-free. It's actually pretty cool to be able to jump from photo to video on the fly and show people what you see. Overall I give 4.5 out of 5 points and would recommend buying it at the current price. This is a good buy and a great gift that won't break the bank for the outdoor enthusiast or anyone who enjoys exploring their area at night, or for any other purpose you might have. I would recommend using rechargeable batteries with them, but so far I'm still happy with the battery life after an hour of use. Maybe in the next generation they'll have rechargeable batteries in the goggles that you can charge directly with a USB cable or something. Good product, you will not be disappointed!
