Review on 📻 Sangean DT-800BK Rechargeable Pocket Radio - AM/FM/NOAA Weather Alert (Black/Gray) by Philip Lindsey

The Sangean DT-800 AM FM WX Alert Portable Radio is one of the most anticipated radios of 2018. Does it live up to expectations? Features I like about this radio: * Very good FM radio reception thanks to the speaker and cable combination. * Weather alert mode. * Clear LCD display. * Tuning steps are easily adjustable. * Dual filter bandwidth options for FM and AM. * Adjustable side LCD lighting. * Limited but useful RDS. * Support for NiMH batteries with integrated smart charger. * AC adapter included. *AM reception is decent, although it can be very sensitive to localized RF interference.*Color combination :)*Clock.*Alarm.*Sleep function.*Low bass boost is always welcome. Features that could be added or improved: * My example is firmware 1.0 with some issues as mentioned in the video. * Correct FM reception with headphones. (May be an issue with only a few radios) * Improved AM filtering of spurious and harmonics which appear more prominent on this radio compared to CCPocket and DT400. * The small speaker distorts slightly when volume is increased. Overall I was very excited about this radio, but I have a feeling that maybe I rushed and bought it too soon. I would recommend waiting before buying a radio if you have no problem returning things if they don't meet your expectations :) For now I would recommend CCPocket or DT-400W. These are proven winners, and CCPocket comes with a one-year warranty.
