These socks are very comfortable. They are knee high and perfect for hiking and snowshoeing. My wife says they fit perfect and are very warm and comfortable. They do have a lining in them and it does shift around just a bit (my wife said that it actually felt like there was an air pocket surrounding her feet. We didn't test out the waterproofing but my wife says that even in the 90 degree heat these breathed very well. She said her feet did get warm but didn't get sweaty or gross. She can't wait to try them out this winter. We washed them with nom issues.
