Turn on the heating!

These cute stickers are great value. The first few times I applied them, the decals stuck to the plastic and were quite a hassle to apply. But then I (accidentally) turned on the heat of the iron and WOW, it got easier! I also found that using an iron to rub it back and forth harder at the end seemed to help the glue penetrate deeper into the fabric, allowing it to peel off cleaner.
