Brushes (e.g. round brushes) are the main element of this collection. This is where the actual cleaning happens as you move from the paintwork and wheels to the interior and engine compartment. It's good to have a collection so you can devote some to the dirty work and leave others for the final steps like applying a protectant to the dash etc. All other items in this collection are also very useful. The wheel brush is the best kind I've come across, it can get in between the spokes and reach the wheel drum. A tire brush is a good size and stiffness and is really important for removing brown deposits on tires; this stuff doesn't let go without a lot of excitement. Toothbrush shaped brushes are great for small things, I use them a lot and not just for detailing. Applicator pads don't last long, so extra accessories are always welcome, and a hand wash mitt is a must. A book.
