I bought this primarily to remove scratches from my stainless steel range and pop up air vent that were driving me crazy. The scratches were so bad I considered replacing the units, but decided to try a cheap scratch remover first. The first sandpaper step was a bit intimidating, but if it hadn't worked my oven and venting couldn't have been much worse. This set is just amazing! It has worked so well that I no longer feel the need to replace the furnace and vent. I wish I could take a picture beforehand to show how bad my stove and ventilation is. I felt inspired and tried it out on a small scratch on my brand new stainless steel fridge. I didn't use sandpaper (step 1) on the fridge because I didn't want to risk it. Steps 2 and 3 were enough to significantly reduce the scratches. I've found that on a large flat surface like my fridge it's better to move along the grain rather than in a circular motion as suggested in the instructions. I also tried it on my sink. The first picture shows the difference the kit makes on the smaller right side of the sink compared to the original on the left. Some scratches are still visible (see second picture) but I think another app with more time spent on step 1 could remove them permanently. Overall I am more than satisfied with this set. For $16 and a bit of grease, my kitchen appliances look shiny and barely scratched :-). So I wouldn't recommend it unless you plan on using it everywhere. The new finish is almost mirror like and will definitely stand out from the original finish.
