Working but not as pictured

This is a sturdy double zipped bag. There are two pieces of plastic inside each bag to make the seal airtight. There are no instructions but based on the pictures on the Revain website I'm assuming you should use this piece to partially seal the zipper. Then when you press on the duvet or whatever you have in your bag, the air escapes through the seal. Finally, use a piece of plastic to create an airtight seal. I'm not clear on how to do a partial seal. I tried sealing only the outer lock. But then the air didn't come out. I tried sealing only part of the two ziplock seals. It's ok but not what the picture shows. I also tried not sealing them at all and that was fine. Once you've made the seal airtight with a piece of plastic, the flattened blanket stays flat and takes up a lot less storage space. I have an old sleeping bag in a relatively small nylon bag. As you gradually slide the sleeping bag into the nylon bag, you can squeeze it to fit. Then you tighten the tip. These pouches work the same way, except they have a zippered vacuum seal instead of a drawstring. This pouch is strong enough and sealed enough to withstand a vacuum.
