Review on Screen Slider White Trailer Camper RV Parts & Accessories by Brandon Bullard

Good replacement for Amerimax Screen Door Slider

I had a broken 12 x 12 slider on the Amerimax Screen Door Slider on my 12 year old Forest River bumper trailer (no longer in production). Tried replacing Camco (too thin) and Valterri (didn't fit) and returned both. This option worked well. The slider fits easily into the rails with a slight flex and glides easily. The plastic is strong. The stop provided is great for the plate and I found it necessary to fill the gap left by the plate (caused by this replacement which has a recessed pocket instead of a flat surface like my original part). I had to drill holes for the stop but it was worth it because the final plate and stop combination works and looks good. Slightly disappointed that I couldn't get this product in a clear finish and had to provide my own screws to mount the stop but those were minor things that don't deserve a star deduction. I would use caution when installing the stop unless you have existing holes on the door to match the stop. Before drilling, take extra care to determine the correct position of this stop when the panel is closed, and thus the exact location for drilling new screw holes for the stop.
