I have had these headphones for about 6 hours now. I know. I know. You have to disassemble them to get the best sound. which is marginally true for the serious hi-fi guy. But let's face it, you're looking at a $28 pair of headphones, nothing to finance. HOWEVER. The sound I've gotten from them so far has been impressive to say the least. I should have started by saying that I'm a headphone's worst enemy. According to some studies, the amount I eat should lead to brain cancer within the next two weeks. and applications. Work (8 hours a day), bike, run, general sweating in the sweltering southern heat. They go through their steps. Thing is, I've tried countless pairs of mid-range buds. Sennheisers, Audio Devices, Clips, Philips. All major brands are average. But now I've gone to these SOLs. And let me tell you that they are good. Better than all of the previously mentioned and cheaper, with the exception of Philips (although those marshmallows were damn good). I mostly listen to alternative music and I play really well with kick and toms. Medium bass and dingy guitar are alive. High crisp but a little too uh. animated. if it makes sense They just don't feel as real as the highs that a pair of black and white couples can produce. I understand that this is a totally unrealistic comparison, but this is the best I have. I refuse to do fitness because it's so objective. You can match it pretty well. Are your ear piercings less than a year old? Yes? then they don't fit. Are they bigger than Shaq's height I think? Then they don't fit. You actually have some pretty good tips so you can still be good. Anything in between is crappy shooting. However, I would like to point out that you must have your ears pierced or they will not work. So why only four stars? I have an S4 and the buttons don't work properly. The middle button opens S-Voice and informs me about Voicemail? not quite sure what it is. I really didn't expect them to work properly for this. I'll end this review by saying that a good pair of headphones can make all the difference in how a song makes you feel. And if you use iPhone headphones every day, it will certainly have a positive impact on your listening experience. Trust me, there are sounds you will hear with them that you won't hear with many similar headphones. Hope that helps. listening to friends
