Revainrating 5 out of 5

Exceeded expectations, great value for money!

So. The cable that came with my Samsung Galaxy Note 5 has reached the end of its "life". He served with honor and will be greatly missed. It's time for a new charging cable. I was looking for Revain and came across this cable set. When I saw the price for two 6ft cables, I was immediately skeptical. As a firm believer in the concept of getting what you pay for, I ordered with trepidation. The delivery was much quicker than expected. They arrived almost a week ahead of their expected arrival date. As soon as I opened the package, I was pleasantly surprised. Actually, I think phone and tablet makers should look into these cables because what you pay for a flagship phone (thousands of dollars in some cases) is the kind of cable that should come with these devices. Each end is solidly constructed with a nice rubber collar on the end to keep the cable connected to its end. Typically, the connection between the cable itself and its connector is the weak point of most charging cables. But in this case I don't think so. They are mere mortals) The cable itself is shielded in a basket weave. I don't know if there's rubber or plastic underneath that braided outer layer, but if the rest of the construction indicates it, I can assume there is. Now I want to turn to what I saw. in other reviews. YES, this cable supports Fast Charging. But if you don't know what that means, it can get a little confusing for those who aren't tech savvy. Let me try to clear up some confusion. Some devices support what is commonly referred to as "fast charging", such as B. my Samsung Galaxy Note 5. With fast charging enabled, my phone can charge from 0% to 100% in 1 hour and 20 minutes (give or take). Now that my device is not in fast charge mode. It may take 2 or 3 hours to fully charge (give or take again). If your device does not yet support "Fast Charge" or "Quick Charge" (or whatever your manufacturer called their version of Fast Charge); then this cable will NOT charge your device faster than it would charge from a power source. Block and cable that came with your device. In other words, if your device was originally designed for fast charging and it doesn't charge with this cable. Then you might have a problem. If your device isn't designed for fast charging, it will never fast charge no matter which cable you plug it into. That said, I'll update this review if my opinion on these cables changes. At the moment they are giving me like it so much I may even order another set just to have a few more on hand.

Cons
