Our Panasonic Plasma TV still works after 13 years but only supports 480p/1080i via HDMI. I just bought a new Xbox not knowing that it is unique to all of our HDMI sources and only supports 720p/1080p. A look at the manual revealed that the television supports 720p via VGA. I didn't have high expectations for this inexpensive device, but it came in nice packaging and worked first time! Pin-sharp HD picture plus high-quality stereo sound. (The Xbox did not require the included USB power cable.)
