Leaks are very difficult to stop

Finally after 3 weeks I finished this plumbing job! The problem is that the themes are pretty deep on this device. I think it's too deep! That's the problem. So I did a little research on fittings and what to do. On 2 pages it is written that Teflon tape should not be wrapped more than 4 times. I did it and it's good that it's flowing. I had to cut the pipe and redo the plumbing. Well, while it was working, the other side started leaking. Big! So what I had to do was cut this pipe and make a connection so at least I couldn't cut the pipe if that didn't work. Then I had another leak on the other side, I smeared it with more teflon and screwed it back on. Again, the problem is that the threads are so deep that if you pull lightly, water will spill out. It should be a simple plumbing job. Shut off the main water supply. Connect the PVC pipe to the water filter and to the water supply in the house. This is not a job I would recommend to any homeowner. If you do, I think you will be disappointed. I installed an ionic hard water filter to control water hardness. It is recommended to install a filter as a pre-filter. So I did this and also afterwards. Only to find out that if you have space between them, you're better off having a fitting so you can take it apart to fix the leak and put it back together. Again, this is the third week that I've been cutting my pipes to fix leaks because the teflon tape has to be wrapped around the steps so tightly that the steps are barely visible. It's just a nightmare. On the first try I just had to remove all the filters and straighten the PVC pipe to have tap water in the house. Just plan for the plumber to have the same problems as that leaking filter. It's not how tight you can tighten it, it's how much teflon tape you use to seal the deep threads. Due to thread issues I recommend buying something else. If you enjoy fiddling with plumbing and risk running out of water for your family, then this filter could be for you. The coarse filter, once installed leak-free, will probably work just as well as anything else. This is the filter media you are looking for for microparticle removal. If you are using multiple filters, use a connector filter that can be unscrewed if you need to put more teflon on it as you don't have to cut the pipe. MUCH LUCK! would i do it again FUCKING NO!
