This HEAVY adjustable mirror is surrounded by a light that can be adjusted in brightness and color. This color change and the amount of light can be adjusted via 3 switches/buttons in the middle of the mirror. The mirror sits on a stand frame that can be manually adjusted by pushing or pulling the bottom or top half of the mirror. My only disappointment. is that this Hollywood-style lighted mirror must be plugged into a power source in order to function. I left it on for a few hours but the light wouldn't come on without being plugged in. It didn't seem to store any energy for later use like other ring lights. The color and the ability to dim are excellent features. The requirement to keep the mirror plugged into a power source is a big issue for me. My bathroom has 2 countertop sinks above a stack of drawers in the middle. In the middle I would use this mirror. If I decide to install THIS vanity mirror with light, the need to plug in the mirror means the cord has to go through the sink. The length of the supplied cable will hardly reach this. So I routed the cord under the edge of the countertop and along the wall to the outlet. It's not ideal at all. I won't put up a mirror here if that's my only option. I'm considering using a power bank by somehow connecting it to the back of the mirror. This "workaround" significantly increases the cost of this mirror. The qualities I find commendable are (1) Lights that are smaller and don't generate as much heat as traditional Hollywood-style lights. (2) These lights are very flexible in brightness and color. (3) The size of the Hollywood style mirror is perfect in my opinion. (4) The weight of the frame is quite strong and safe. I'll leave my recommendations at that until I find a way to make better use of the mirror. I CAN use them in many places, but they're not necessarily perfect or even adequate. This mirror should be placed on a bathroom counter, on a vanity table, or in a designated area. This is a good mirror, but make sure you understand that the power cord is in use when using it.
