The keys have arrived and are the same as the original (length/size). Unfortunately I took it to Lowe and they messed up the first piece and said they couldn't guarantee it would work because of the transponder inside and he didn't like it. I explained to him that he didn't need to worry about that part and that I just wanted it to be true to the original and I'd take care of the rest. I asked if he could "cut" it, he said yes. Well he edited it out and it wasn't even close to the original - all he said was "sorry". So what is left is an empty key and a useless key. So I tracked down a real locksmith nearby and he tried to cut it but stopped because the "FOB" part of the keys was misaligned and getting in the way of him in his car. He recommended another famous locksmith which I contacted and this gentleman said he could do it because he has a machine that accepts a 'wider' FOB. So let's see what comes of it. The problem is not with the key blanks themselves but with finding the right locksmith to make the key(s).
