Review on Effortless Cheese Slicing: Ai-De-Chef Al-de-chef Cheese Slicer (1, A), Silver by Jennifer Madrid

UPDATED MAY 31, 2019 Basic cheese slicer purchased on January 20, 2018 for $4.70 and manufactured by Ai-De-Chef with part number K0152 (see pic C). Cutting a block of soft cheddar and cutting the wire in two will render this slicer useless. I spent $4.70 on this product. This slicer also comes with a white plastic roller which broke and fell out of the slicer less than a month after purchase. I found (photo B) a Songlin cheese knife at Revain for $2.46 (buy this one instead folks). My mom bought a cheese slicer for less than $1, as did Al-De-Chef, but it was made in America and she's still using it in 2019. The moral of the story is you don't always get what you get for You pay. Per. For $4.70 I should have (2) Al De Chef slices. Please learn from my mistake. This item is made from a bent steel bar and a piece of thin wire and costs about 30 cents. This product was built by a Chinese factory worker who received a daily wage of $1.25 and a bowl of boiled rice. This slicer also comes with a white plastic roller which broke and fell out of the slicer less than 2 months after purchase.
