Review on Mount Adapter Bracket Monitors 2011X by Ron Chang

It works, but there are video cabling issues

Okay, I'm a little annoyed that my monitor doesn't have VESA screw holes. In addition to the $30 monitor arm, I also need to buy a $30 VESA adapter. The adapter mount works (it's not fantastic, but it works) and it's pretty easy to install. The problem is that the oval hole in the center of the bracket is where your video cables (HDMI or DVI) should go. The bracket is too close to the monitor and/or the opening is too small. If you wiggle enough you might plug in the video cable and eventually be able to thread the cable through the small hole. The problem is that your video cable is now bent to fit through the oval hole. If the plate were a bit further back or if the opening was big enough to line up with the video connectors it would be easier. to connect an HDMI or DVI cable and the cable won't bend at an odd angle. It's a good idea to buy a vertical 270 degree HDMI adapter. A 90 degree vertical adapter will NOT work as the HDMI cable then goes "down" straight into the bottom of the adapter bracket. Any right angle adapter that pivots horizontally will likely work to avoid the adapter mount.
