Review on LEVOIT Core 300 & 300S Replacement Filter - 3-In-1 H13 True HEPA, Compared To #Core300-RF-PA - 2 Pack by Robert Abdi

I only realized after the fact that.this is Made in China. So not an authentic Levoit filter. That said, it looks fine.fit into my Levoit 300 fine. As to if or how well it does what it's supposed to do, vs the authentic Levoit version, is anyone's guess. I mean, how can you really KNOW if your filter is making the air cleaner/more healthy?I was a bit concerned at first when I couldn't get the red Change Filter light to turn off, after replacing this filter. (It seems you need to press/hold the Red filter light for 3 seconds, to turn it off. But apparently sometimes that doesn't work, and you actually need to turn the purifier off for up to 30 minutes, then try the process again. Then it finally worked, and the Red light DID turn off.)I noticed a strong, sicky sweet, plastic-y smell with this filter (though I later read, elsewhere online, that sometimes this can be an issue with new filters.but that the smell will dissipate). And indeed, by the next day, the odor seemed to be gone.Also, this filter came with a totally unnecessary, dumb little plastic brush .as if we need a 'special brush' to dust or clean our filter? I really hate unnecessary waste, especially PLASTIC waste, and especially if it's something like this, that no one else would realistically have a use for.a little plastic brush. So now I am forced to simply toss it in the garbage, and add it to a landfill. Sadly, this is a common problem with stuff from China.excessive packaging, extra 'freebies', etc. I guess caring about the environment is not something on the radar of any Chinese manufacturing companies just yet. ;-(
