The layer between the protective glass and the adhesive layer is dirty!
I spent half an hour thoroughly cleaning my laptop screen - I had to use different cloths than the ones supplied because they streaked my screen and made it dusty. When I applied the protective film, there were no bubbles but wavy fat streaks that I couldn't get rid of even with glass cleaner. I knew it wasn't my computer screen, but when I lifted the corner to check, the adhesive peeled off the screen protector. Then the protective glass of the screen cracked. waste of time.
