Trick to Install Spikes
There is a trick to installing spikes that I think makes installation a lot easier. After removing the old spikes, use a toothbrush and some water to scrub the dirt out of the hole, leaving the hole slightly damp. The new spike is then much easier to insert into the hole and twist to lock.
