This is the second electric dog fence I have owned. My first was a foreigner who bought a pet store. Unfortunately, the Pet Safe model has been discontinued and is now only available in a rechargeable version. The problems I had were that in the cold season, when it gets really cold, the strength changes and I have to adapt, otherwise it doesn't work - the nylon collar starts to diverge over time and I'm constantly trying to fix the worn spots to burn and melt back together. . (Innotec collars were made of durable plastic, so much better) - The system has now twice started shutting my dogs off for no reason while they are in the house, I have to run out and immediately turn the sensor button down. I'm really worried about this happening while I'm away and my dogs in pain until the battery dies.
