I purchased these pants to wear to a holiday dinner party. I paired them first with a sequin top and next with a velvet tank and jacket. The pants are very, very comfortable. They material is a little thinner than I expected but they actually drape quite nicely once on - no clinging. Unsure of the length, I purchased both petite and regular. The petites were just a bit too short (I like my pants to slightly crease at foot); the regular length just a little too long, even with heels, so I rolled them at the waist to shorten them up. Definitely glad I purchased these as I will wear them many times. In terms of sizing, I usually wear a 16W pants and the XL fit fine.
