Worth every penny and then some.

Amazing. I now have Ford dealer level diagnostics and programming on my 2010 Lincoln MKT and 1999 F150. I managed to read codes, run some diagnostics and program a new smart key for my MKT. I have not yet dealt with the programming of the module. I'm using this on an old Dell D630 laptop running Win7 32-bit. It's a bit of a PITA to get this to work. Here's what I did: Changed the timezone on my computer to Beijing timezone (not sure if this is necessary or not) Installed a copy of VMWare Player Copied the contents of the CD to my computer's desktop Opened VMWare and created a new virtual one Machine by selecting the virtual machine file I moved to my desktop (largest file in the folder) Edit VM settings to increase RAM usage to 2GB (it runs very slow if less) Play the VM file (mine was FORD IDS V107 EN ) Connect the VCX Nano via a USB cable. When the virtual machine opens, click Player at the top left of the window and scroll down to Removable Storage. My adapter was named "Future Devices USB Serial Converter" in the window. LoadConnect the adapter to your carPress IDS in the virtual machine window and connect to your carYou are in Be sure to watch some videos or read about IDS features so you don't damage anything because this software has the ability to delete and reinstall software modules. Now you don't have to pay Ford to diagnose your car! It's cheaper than an hour of diagnostics at the dealer.
