This solved the problem of the Escalade tailgate opening partially and slamming loudly. Identical to the original part for approximately $200 less than dealer price. For reference, the installation time should be less than 30 minutes. After removing the rear seats on the driver's side, you only need to unscrew 1 screw, remove the interior panels and 3 mounting screws and replace the controls. Box onto the new part, then snap the panels into place. You may need to turn the vehicle on and off to reset the liftgate module after it has been disabled before it opens or closes. When replacing the lift motor, we also replace both lift legs.
