Works exactly as I expected. There is a velcro strap that allows you to place the band on the back of your head and secure it to your forehead and then pull it down to your hairline. It's comfortable and holds my baby hairs on my face very well. However, the Velcro is already visible to me (I can't fully align it while wearing it) and my head is on the smaller side, so if you have a big head I don't recommend them for you. fabric does not stretch
