Create atmosphere in your room by adding some of these lighted olive branches. I think they are beautiful and when mixed with other greens in a basket or base they don't look as artificial. I have three branches connected by a string of lights. The three branches can be about 6 inches apart as long as the twine stretches between them. The advantages are that they definitely create an atmosphere and are easy to use. The downsides would be that for the price I think I would have gotten four or five branches. I think they would look pretty rare on their own and be noticeably artificial, but they look great in a live plant. My rating is losing stars because the timer function doesn't work. The switch has three functions: off, timer or on. Our timers are essentially both "on" until I manually turn them off
